WWF Supercard (aka All-American Wrestling)---June 26th 1993

WWF Supercard (Canadian version of All-American Wrestling)---6/26/1993 CHAMPIONS:  WWF World Heavyweight Champion: Yokozuna (6/13/1993)  Intercontinental Champion: Shawn Michaels (6/6/1993)  Tag Team Champions: The Steiner Bros. (6/19/1993)  -Your hosts are Mean Gene & Bobby Heean w/ Gorilla Monsoon & Jim Ross on commentary. -So due to Canadian content laws, it was decided to rebrand All-American Wrestling.   The beginning of 1993 for the WWF seemed to be a promising beginning with a new crop of main event upper tier talent, as Bret Hart finally ascended to the top of the mountain, while fresh new characters such as Razor Ramon seemed to be making waves, and talents such as Shawn Michaels were moving up the ranks as well.   But of course by WrestleMania 9, the company panicked and went back to the Status Quo (ie Hogan as champion).   Thankfully however, this is shortly after King of the Ring, where Bret put on a remarkable 3-match pe...

World Championship Wrestling (Saturday Edition) January 26th 1991

World Championship Wrestling (Saturday Edition) 1/26/1991 CHAMPIONS:  NWA World Heavyweight Champion: Ric Flair (1/11/1991)   United States Champion: Lex Luger (12/16/1990)  Television Champion: Tom "Z-Man" Zenk (12/29/1990)* Tag Team Champions: Doom (5/19/1990)  U.S. Tag Team Champions: The Steiner Brothers (8/24/1990)  -Ah yes, 1991 WCW!   Where Jim Herd’s entire head had managed to make its way completely up his ass.   We are two weeks removed from Flair regaining the NWA World Championship from Sting at a house show in New Jersey, which was meant to draw a huge gate, but the snowstorm brought it down to 5000 fans (which sadly still among the best draws WCW had at the time).   Sting was sadly a scapegoat for bad business, and the company botching his title reign with a terrible finish at Halloween Havoc, not to mention the Black Scorpion which was mercifully done at this point.   So they went back to the guy Herd was constant...

Mid-Atlantic Wrestling (November 26th 1983)

Mid-Atlantic Wrestling---(November 26th 1983) CHAMPIONS: NWA World Heavyweight Champion---Ric Flair (11/24/1983)  United States Champion---Greg Valentine (5/1/1983)  Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion---Rufus R. Jones (8/5/1983)   TV Champion---Charlie Brown from Outta Town (11/24/1983)   Tag Team Champions---Ricky Steamboat & Jay Youngblood (11/24/1983)   Literally just TWO days after Starrcade ’83!   Hosted by Bob Caudle.   Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Rufus R. Jones vs. Tom Lintz We waste no time, as the match is already underway.   Rufus gets off to a hot start, as Bob Caudle hypes up the show, AND promises to talk about Starrcade!   Lintz works over the arm, but Rufus re-takes control with a leg grapevine.   Rufus works over the arm, and goes crazy on Lintz, and hits a back body-drop, a bunch of shoulder tackles, and an … eye rake?   I think!   And gets the pin?   Sure.   Rufu...

WWF Cavalcade (aka Wrestling Challenge)---June 21st 1992

WWF Cavalcade (Canadian TV name for Wrestling Challenge)---June 21 st 1992 CHAMPIONS: WWF World Heavyweight Champion---"Macho Man" Randy Savage (4/5/1992) Intercontinental Champion---Bret "The Hitman" Hart (4/5/1992) Tag Team Champions---Money Inc. (2/7/1992)   -This was the WWF in a weird period, after many scandals involving steroids and sexual misconduct allegations plagued the company.   Not to mention they had just lost Hulk Hogan to a sabbatical, also Jake “The Snake” Roberts had left for WCW, and Sid Justice had also quit shortly after WrestleMania VIII.   I was at a Superstars taping literally about three weeks before this, which was great for 9-year old me, and even in hindsight as I got to see all my favorites in one night, and saw one of the rare one-on-one encounters between Macho Man & Shawn Michaels, as well as Bret Hart & Rick Martel having a really good match as well.    But the WWF was starting to already hit some record l...
